Title: The Role of InsureTech Startups in the US Commercial Insurance Industry
Speaker Bio: Athula Alwis, Chief Executive Officer ALLDIGITAL SPECIALITY. Athula has 30 years of insurance and reinsurance broking experience at premium global companies, such as Chubb, Willis Re, QBE, and Munich Re. He helped guide Freedom Specialty, a startup capitalized by Scottsdale Insurance, into a success with over $400M in revenue within five years. Athula is a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries since 1995 and a Member of the Joint Program Committee for Reinsurance Seminars since 2011. He received a MASTER OF SCIENCE in Mathematics from Syracuse University in 1989 and a BACHELOR OF SCIENCE from University of Colombo, Sri Lanka with First Class Honors in Mathematics in 1984.
